Tinefur RTU is a ready‑to‑use, sterile, injectable antimicrobial formulation containing Ceftiofur Hydrochloride, a third‑generation cephalosporin specifically developed for veterinary use. It is intended for the parenteral treatment and control of bacterial infections associated with the respiratory, reproductive, and podiatric systems of livestock.
Each milliliter (mL) of the formulation contains:
Mechanism of Action
Ceftiofur, the active moiety, exhibits bactericidal activity by:
Inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis,
Binding to essential penicillin‑binding proteins (PBPs),
Causing rapid cell lysis and death of susceptible organisms.
Key Features & Benefits:
It is highly effective against a broad spectrum of Gram‑negative and Gram‑positive bacterial pathogens, including Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Histophilus somni, Escherichia coli, and other ceftiofur‑sensitive species commonly involved in respiratory, uterine, and podiatric infections of livestock.

IM/SC route For Post ‑Partum Metritis ‑ 2.2 ml/50 kg B.wt. at 24 hour interval for 3‑5 days.
For BRD ‑ 2.2 ml/50 kg B.wt. every alternateday for 3 days (48 hour interval)
